A Sonnet??
Have you ever tried to write a sonnet?
It's not as easy as you might suppose.
One needs heaps of brains beneath his bonnet
To disguise meaning in the words composed.
In Iambic Pentameter pen your thoughts
Of life, of love, of lust or things now lost,
Or acts one did not do or think he ought
Reminiscing or considering their cost.
In only fourteen lines it must be done
And they should never sound like simple runes
But flow like a river, not rambling on.
Well written sonnets sing like heavn'ly tunes.
(This type of writing's a pain in the butt
I've tried hard but not made a good one yet!)

CRAZY??? About Books

I know all of you
are crazy about
books. Me too.
Wish I was a
super fast reader
like some of you!
A woman in my
book club told me
I had weird tastes
in books. Guess
she's right. Look
at some of these I've
read lately!
Diary of a Mad Man; Hard Times; The Moonstone; Quiet Flows the Don; Red and the Black; Eugene Onegin; Glass Castle; Vinegar Hill
Winter of our Discontent; Angle of Repose; Moll Flanders; The Assistant
The Decameron; ....and the most..frustrating: Gene Christope!
What're y'all reading now?
